Year 9

My name is Mr. S.Williams and I am currently the Head of Year 9.

Year 9 is a very important year for pupils being the transition year between KS3 and KS4; the year of option choices. This happens during the second term when an option booklet, explaining each subject is given to each pupil. From this option list pupils make their subject choices for KS4 examination subjects. It is vital that the correct choice be made at this time as change becomes difficult at a later date.

Year 9 pupils also have access to a wide range of extracurricular activities through the many agencies involved with the school, all pupils are encouraged to get involved in these worthwhile activities they are free and transport is provided. Activities such as Skiing, archery, canoeing, snooker coaching, mountain biking etc. is all on offer, so get involved.

Key Points
