All pupils are given the opportunity to have instrumental or vocal lessons in school.
They are encouraged to attend school and county based rehearsals and to work towards Associated Board and Rockschool examinations.

Parental Support
1. Pupils who attend instrumental and vocal lessons should be encouraged to:
• practise their instrument on a regular basis at home
• check the exact date and time of their lesson and arrive promptly
• be aware of music activities available at lunchtimes and attend as required
• commit to county based groups and courses if available
All lessons in school are free but external examinations require payment from the home.
2. Encourage all pupils to listen to a diverse range of music wherever possible.
3. Support pupils by attending concerts etc.
