Mr. Church teaches the ‘ Philosophy of Religion ’ module at AS Level, the ‘ Philosophy of Religion ’ module at A2 Level and the ‘ Synoptic – Shared Human Experience ’ module at A2 Level.
Miss. H. Williams

Miss. Williams is teacher in charge of the development of Short Course GCSE.
Miss. Williams is also the ‘ Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator ’ at MACS for ‘ Memory and Recall ’.
Miss. Williams teaches the ‘ Buddhism ’ module at AS Level.
Mrs. G. Thomas
Mrs. Thomas primarily teaches in the Welsh department at MACS. She teaches a number of KS3 classes in the RS department.
Mr. D. Evans
Mr. Evans is Head of PSHE and also teaches in the History department. He teaches some KS3 lessons in Y7 and Y8.
Religious Studies – The Subject
KS3 – All pupils receive two hours per fortnight of study.
KS4 – All pupils receive two hours per fortnight of study for their Short Course GCSE examination.
KS4 – Pupils who opt to study Full Course RS (in addition to the Short Course GCSE) have five hours per fortnight of study for their GCSE examination.
KS5 – AS/A2 Level
Pupils receive eight hours per fortnight of study for their AS/A2 Examinations.
KS5 – Compulsory RS
Religious Studies is the only subject in school that is compulsory at KS5. Pupils study a course that is a non-examined one. Pupils receive one hour per week/fortnight.
