Textiles Technology is one of the suite of Design and Technology subjects. It is compulsory at Key Stage 3 for both boys and girls, but becomes an option choice at Key Stage 4.
The curriculum is closely linked with the textile industry. It involves the design, development and construction of imaginative textile products.

Trips / Fashion Workshops
The Department run a very successful trip to the Clothes Show in December (www.clothesshowlive.co.uk). Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13 attend the Birmingham NEC for a fashion extravaganza!
The department work closely with fashion designers, EBP and University of Cardiff to provide pupils with Textiles Taster Days! We have run several days to date and have all been very enjoyable. Pupils have found them interesting and a very creative experience!
